 Trail Orta - Lungolago Giuseppe Fava

Lasciati alle spalle la bella Piazza Mario Motta e Via Giovanetti si imbocca Via Giuseppe Fava dove è possibile ammirare alcune dimore storiche e la piccola Cappella del Gesù Mio. Un centinaio di metri oltre la cache la strada si divide, a destra scende verso la Strada della Litarda e la zona dell'Ortello mentre proseguendo a sinistra è possibile salire lungo la Via al Sacro Monte (parcheggio in loco con disco orario di due ore) per raggiungere il Sacro Monte di Orta, iniziato nel 1590 grazie all'apporto dell'abate novarese Amico Canobio e al progetto dell'architetto Cleto da Castelletto Ticino, concluso poi tra il 1593 e il 1615 dal vescovo di Novara Carlo Bascapè, che decise la successione di scene da realizzare all'interno delle cappelle, che tutt'ora è Patrimonio Mondiale dell'Unesco. Qui oltre alla visita è possibile divertirvi con la cache GC69GM4 e con la multi-cache GC7F48Y.

 Trail Orta - Lakeside Giuseppe Fava

Leaving behind the beautiful Piazza Mario Motta and Via Giovanetti, take Via Giuseppe Fava, where you can admire some historic homes and the small Cappella del Gesù Mio. About a hundred meters beyond the cache, the road splits: to the right it descends towards Strada della Litarda and the Ortello area, while continuing to the left it is possible to climb along Via al Sacro Monte (on-site parking with a two-hour parking disc) to reach the Sacro Monte of Orta, begun in 1590 thanks to the contribution of the Novara abbot Amico Canobio and the design of the architect Cleto da Castelletto Ticino, and then completed between 1593 and 1615 by the bishop of Novara Carlo Bascapè, who decided on the sequence of scenes to be created inside the chapels, which is still a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
