Cerro de Punta is the highest peak in the US territory of Puerto Rice. It is 4,390 feet high a part of the Cordillera Central. Even with the dense jungle, you can still get a good view of the surrounding country side and valleys. On a really clear day, you can see the entire island all the way out to San Juan. The road is kind of sketchy getting to the top, but a 4WD will get you there. The other option is to park at the bottom and walk the road up. You will be able to find one cache while you are up there. Not sure if this peak is sought after by the mainland peak baggers, but I recommend that you check it out if you make it to the island.
