***The geocache is not at the posted co-ordinates. See below for how to find it:***
Thanks for partaking in the misadventures of Geordie Redbeard the pirate. This is a bonus cache, the location of which can be revealed only by having found the previous three in the series: Geordie Redbeard's Treasure #1, #2, and #3.
DETAILS
The co-ordinates are physically written somewhere on the containers AND in the log for each. So the final location is N 53° 41.ABC' W 0° 29.DEF'
The letters A&B can be found at GEORDIE REDBEARD'S TREAURE #1
The letters C&D can be found at GEORDIE REDBEARD'S TREAURE #2
The letters E&F can be found at GEORDIE REDBEARD'S TREAURE #3
In the event that you are doing the series and any indviidual cache is missing, I will (on request) send the missing numbers.
In following in the footsteps of Geordie Redbeard, you have surely become fascinated with pirates, ships, sharks, and treasure! So, when you go to retrieve the cache you are encouraged to post a photo of yourself with a pirate-themed prop - maybe a bottle of rum, or a gold coin, or an eyepatch, or a boat. Don't want to photo yourself? Use the dog, or a toy, or something else. Be creative and use whatever you can find, it's all part of the fun.
Cheat-option
As this Bonus mystery cache is added some time after the original series, many local cachers may have previously found all three. If you have found all three treasures already before the bonus cache was added you can go straight there - to log the cache you must send me the dates of your logs of each one (so I can check it), but be advised that your pirate-themed pictures are very much encouraged. Feel free to revist the original three and gather the numbers yourself instead.
Getting there
The difficulty rating includes the minimum time to gather the other caches, but there is no avoiding a walk/bike ride for this cache. The ground is gravel paths and trails over uneven ground. There are three routes to take from the various car parks (marked as waypoints) but I'm not telling you which one is quickest. Be mindful of the river, especially at high tide if travelling with dogs and kids.
