Benarrabá se encuentra en la ladera del monte Porón, a 522m de altitud. Todo apunta que esta villa fue fundada por la tribu bereber de los Banu Rabbah (descendientes de Rabbah), aunque existen importantes vestigios de época romana en el puerto de las Eras, lugar de paso de la vía romana que unía las ciudades de Laecipo (cerca de Casares) y Arunda (Ronda)

Benarrabá is located on the slopes of Mount Porón, at an altitude of 522m. Everything suggests that this village was founded by the Berber tribe of the Banu Rabbah (descendants of Rabbah), although there are important remains from Roman times in the port of Las Eras, a place of passage of the Roman road that linked the cities of Laecipo (near Casares) and Arunda (Ronda).
