Geocache Description:

This cache is at the posted coordinates.

Background

Welcome to my series of odd and miscellaneous challenges.

Yes, it's that time again. It should not come to anyone's surprise to see us publish, yet again, another themed challenge. Don't worry; we're running out of theme ideas. However we are open to suggestions. ;-)

This challenge was timed to honour this year's Earth Day as well as pay homage to Geocaching's Deuces Wild theme from earlier this year. It's like two themes for the price of one! We just might be a little late for the latter. :-/

For those of you that aren't aware, Earth Day this year is on April 22nd, 2022 or written numerically, that's 22/04/22 or 22/2*2/22 or if you prefer 22/2+2/22. Are you sensing a pattern yet? And if you didn't notice, this cache is also #16 in the Olio series which mathematically can be written as 2*2*2*2 as well.

And if all goes according to plan, this cache should be published at 22:22:22 local time as well.

Everything seemed 2 be falling in2 place, hence how this challenge came 2 be.

Now 2 just come up with an Earth Day related challenge. Well, that seemed obvious 2. Earth Day is meant 2 make people aware of our environment and hopefully encourages everyone 2 do something 2 protect it and reduce our impact. And what is the one of the main ways geocachers participate throughout the year?

The Challenge

To qualify for this challenge, you must attend 22 CITO (Cache In Trash Out * ) events. That's it. Nothing complicated; you're probably looking at Team Olio's shortest challenge description ever. :-b

The Requirements

Some more things about the challenge to be aware of:

  • Past CITO events attended count, of course.
  • Any CITO events attended can only be used once for this challenge. We doubt this will be a problem but in the past, it was possible to log the same cache multiple times.

Wow, probably the shortest requirements section we've ever written too.

The fine print

CO reserves the right to make any changes to this challenge if any issues or ambiguities are discovered. CO will be fair but has the final say on any events, caches, finds, or logs that are questionable. CO reserves the right to delete any logs if problems are found.

Finding This Cache

Do NOT access this cache from Highway 2. Please use the nearby service road instead.

Please remember to be respectful of the cache location. Be aware of how and where the cache is "attached" so that it can be put back in exactly the same way and in the same place for the next person(s) to enjoy. Only the "inner" portion of the cache needs to be removed to log the cache. The container may not be accessible during the winter months.

Logging This Cache

As with any challenge caches, you are welcome to physically sign the log for this cache and log it as "Write Note" if you haven't met the challenge's requirements yet. Please bring your own pen(cil)/writing instrument to sign the log.

Please use this Project-GC challenge checker below to verify if you have qualified for this challenge.

PGC Checker

You can only log a "Found It" entry online after you've completed the challenge and signed the log. All non-qualifying "Found It" logs will be deleted without notice.

And my thanks to -DOLFINANDO- for creating this checker.

Whether you qualify for this challenge or not, you may also qualify for these similar challenges as well.

If you know of any other caches similar to this challenge or if you want to replicate this challenge in your area, please let me know and I will add those caches here so that other cachers can be aware.
