The earth is our gameboard and as geocachers, it's ours to protect. This includes following the 3R Rule (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) which is an integral part of good environmental etiqutte. The majority of cache containers hidden in this game include pill bottles, peanut butter jars, mayonaise bottles, mint tins and so many more household containers; so essentailly as "hiders" we are following the 3R Rule.
My geoaching hubby (drroach), does his part for the environment on almost every geocaching adventure we have. While in search of GZ, he is often distracted by the many piles of junk and old car wrecks that we stumble upon in back road dump sites and gravel pits. The old saying that "one man's junk is another man's treasure" totally applies to drroach since he eagerly collects and re-purposes many items that have been discarded and otherwise deemed as junk by others. Here's a few pics of drroach "doing his part" LOL.
Before it was a geocache, this junk was discarded on the side of an old woods road until drroach scrounged it for a potential geocache idea. There could have been other ways to use this junk and still adhere to the 3R Rule but drroach had a vision for it and turned it into this geocache hide.
Please be careful when retrieving/returning the logsheet since you shouldn't even need to move the cache from it's hiding place. This one is rated to be a little more difficult so please don't post any spoiler pics of the cache.
