Micheal Park is on the Apple River. Big Dam was the original name of Amery because of the logging that took place here in the 1800's. The original dam was wooden but has been replaced by a smaller concrete structure. This park has a bandshell that hosts summer concerts, restrooms, fishing, kayaking, picnic area and scenic view of the Apple River. Also bordering this park is the Cat Tail Trail which is a snowmobile/ATV trail.
