*Landowner permission granted, as the way the birdhouse is attached permanently (with screws) to the tree is usually not allowed per the geocaching guidelines unless permission is received from landowner.

I based this cache off of a super fun find from a recent trip to Canmore, with Kyla. A Bird's Eye View (Reimagined): GC4M9H3 by GeoKs, who gave me permission to copy it and tips for building and placing my own. Their cache took us at least a good 15 mins because once I finally had it attached, I was too excited and it let go on me, so it took a second round of attempts. But eventually the cache was in hand! It is easily one of my favourite finds ever, so I had to bring the idea home. 💖
This cache is in plain view, but might take you a bit of time to get your hands on the actual log. The tools you need are provided, look for them in a container hiding at the bottom of the twin trees, below the cache.
Once you have the cache "secured", be sure to hold on to the container lid to keep it from retracting to its hiding spot while you sign the log. Please be sure the container is properly seated in its hiding spot when you’re through and do not add any items to the cache in order to allow proper retraction. Also, replace the retrieval tool so it’s available for the use by the next finder.
*I found it helpful to use an underhand light toss, and managed to get it attached within 5 mins, but Purplesqwirt and daddy used other TOTT nearby with the provided TOTT to make attachment a lot quicker/easier, but perhaps less fun as it's much less challenging that way. 🤪☺️
Teamwork not REQUIRED, but it does make it easier. Especially if one person is pulling down and goes too fast and it lets go almost at the bottom..
