Vincentstien er opkaldt efter den engelske forretningsmand, som der står lidt om i cachen "Heatherhill". Stien strækkede sig fra dette punkt, langs skrænten mod vest, og sluttede for enden af vejen ("Ved skrænten"). På grund af nedbrydningen ved skrænten, de seneste årtier, har desværre næsten hele stien eroderet. Der findes ikke længere noget synligt bevis, at der engang i tiden har været en sti langs skrænten sidelæns. Gribskov kommune og Klitgårdens grundejerforening har under de seneste år forsøgt at modvirke erosionen med sandfodring og en skræntfodsbeskyttelse af sten langs den påvirket strække af skrænten.

Vincentstien (the Vincent path) is named after the English businessman that is written about in the cache Heatherhill. The path began from this point, along the slope twoards the west, and stopped at the end of the road here ("Ved skrænten"). The path that went along the slope has unfortunately completely eroded because of the increasing erosion by the slope in the last decades. There are no longer any physical remains pointing towards that a path used to lead in parallel with the slope. Gribskov Municipality and Klintgårdens Homeowners' Association has in recent years tried to counteract the erosion by building protection along the foot out of stone, along the a bit of the affected part of the slope.
"Ved Skrænten" er en serie på fire cacher, der vil tage dig på en lille tur langs skrænten ved Vejby Strand. De kan også selvføljelig tages individuelt. Der findes to korte tekster i cacherne Vincentstien og Heatherhill, som i meget gerne må læse! Jeg anbefaler at du/i også går en tur langs stranden. Ellers går i glip af noget! God fornøjelse!
"Ved Skrænten" is a series of four caches that will take you on a trip along the scenic top of the sloped beach at Vejby Strand. They can of course also be logged individually. There are two short texts in the caches of Vincentstien and Heatherhill. I recommend that you also take a walk along the beach. Otherwise you would miss out on something! Good luck!
