Welcome to Tutaenui Reservoir situated about 10 kms out of Marton. The lower reservoir has a loop walk on a crushed lime path and is an easy stroll of around an hour to stop and enjoy the variety of views, and find some caches of course!
When placed this re-purposed 2 litre click-clack container (formerly a mar1sa rubics Feilding cache component) contained the usual stash-note, and some small swaps though please BYOP to sign.
This cache was placed at the top of the lower reservoir/bottom of the upper reservoir before you cross the bridge that links the causeway between the upper and lower reservoirs. It's just off the main trail, no need to bush bash and should be an easy find. I'm told it's the site of an old quarry, and there are glow0worms at night to be seen. Have updated the cache title from 'Between the waters'. Please re-cover well once signed in.
There are a variety of bird species at the reservoir, an information board and pictures at the start point, and a couple of benches to rest and/or eat your packed lunch. Dogs are allowed on-lead.

We hope you enjoy your visit here and maybe find the other caches nearby.
