The Forest Rangers is the first Canadian prduced TV series filmed in colour. However, Canadian viewers were not able to view it in colour until this option was available a few years later. 104 episodes of the series were produced from 1963 to 1965. The early episodes were serialized during the CBC children's show, Razzle Dazzle. (It would be shown at the end of Razzle Dazzle, with an episode beginning on Monday and winding up on Friday.) The Forest Rangers marked the first regular major TV series appearance of Gordon Pinsent.
This short series of caches is dedicated to Canadian TV shows of my childhood. These were watched on black and white on the one TV channel (CKBI - Channel 4) we received. I watched this show as much as I could, beginning with its Razzle Dazzle serialization, and later the half hour show in its regular slot. Later, when the colour version became available, I nostalgically tuned in when I could. I was so envious of the adventures of the Junior Forest Rangers.
This cache has been placed for SCAR2022. Please do not find nor log prior to 5:30 pm, Friday, May 27th.
This is a very busy road, but there is good northbound parking available.
