A very long time ago, when Clacton-on-Sea looked very much different than it does today, many strange things happened. These have become folklore in the many drinking dens that can be found locally, and have been passed down the generations from father to grandfather and so on.
Several hundred years ago there was a pirate ship, the Black Pig, sunk close to where you are standing. The figure head was of a lady, known as Saucy Nancy, and it became detached from the ship and was washed up on the beach in the bay in front of you. Now Saucy Nancy was not just any old figurehead carved out of wood and painted, she was a magical one that would occasionally come to life, stroll ashore and order a bag of chips with extra salt and vinegar. Nancy had a saucy laugh (This may be how she got her name). and would often run off without paying for her chips, laughing loudly as she scarpered into the distance.
The day that she washed ashore was one of those magical days and before any of the daft locals could claim her for firewood, she stood up on the beach, much to the amazement of anyone there at the time, and legged it.
Next time that you are buying your bag of chips from any of the high class 'chip in newspaper' establishments along the seafront take a look over your shoulder or listen out for the saucy laugh, Nancy might well be in the same queue as you.
At the given co-ordinates you should find a number for the Fish Tail Groyne, (They all have thier own number) on a rectangular metal plaque screwed to the top of the concrete sea wall, very near to where this bizarre story took place, showing two letters, which are FT and two numbers, say A & B, and C=B+1
The cache can be found a short walk away at N 51 47.C(C+A)(C-A) E001 09.(B+C)(B+B)(C+C+C)
