This cache is placed on private property with the permission of the landowner. The land is next to Camp Latonka (Girl Scout Camp). You will not enter Camp Latonka. Follow GPS coordinates and you will see an abandoned county road. Just park there at the gravel lot. The old road is closed to car traffic and has a cable accross it. You will have a very short walk to the cache. The cache is a large one with plenty of room for swag or trackables. Please be sure to place the cache back as you found it and reapply the natural camoflauge.
I chose this location because I wanted to bring people out of the "hotspots" to see that there is so much more to Wappapello Lake area than the tourist attractions. The area is full of wonderful people and beautiful places. I chose the name because my friend that owns the property says he has seen many rattlesnakes in his years living there. I used to live right there close and I did see one myself. With that being said, you should be alert to your surroundings and watch for any dangerous animals.
