If you do not wish to participate in the geocoin challenge, you may come to the event just for a meet and greet! ☺️ Or alternatively, come join us for the meet n greet and to get your passport, and complete the challenge another day or over many days at your leisure.
Hello! This challenge is for Grand Forks' 125th Anniversary!
The event is a kick-off to start the “GF 125 Geocoin Challenge” which will take you to cool spots around the Grand Forks area. We will get together for a meet and greet and hand out passports to get everyone started. We will also answer any questions anyone has to set you on your way! ☺️ The reward for completing this challenge is a trackable geocoin! (One per household)
For the challenge:
You will need to find all 18 caches and fill out the code words for each geocache on your passport. The challenge will take roughly a day, depending on your pace, and how long you cache each day. (Our DBC challenge in 2018 was spread out further and 25 caches, and most people finished in a day, so it should easily be completed in a day ☺️)
Once complete, you will either take your passport into the Grand Forks Visitor centre (during business hours), mail it in to the visitor centre, or limited to the kick off weekend, you may meet up with Scottycat or I to receive your coin in person. (I will give out our cell numbers for contact at event)
Hope to see you there! Please log a “will attend” if you’re planning on coming to the kick-off event. (You can also come and complete the challenge on your own time, until we are out of coins, we have 125 this year, last time we had 100)
*Visitor centre will be open 10-3 if anyone needs a restroom.
