I am creating a new series of caches to honour the 2020 Olympic Women's Soccer Championship team from Canada. It's hard to know where to start with this one. Christine Sinclair is a three time Olympic medalist and the greatest international scorer in FIFA history with 189 goals in her 310 international appearances. This legend of the game was no longer in her top form by the time these Olympics were contested but she was now surrounded by a lot more young talent than in the past. She would no longer need to carry the team on her back. To that point, her 3 goal performance during the semi-finals of the 2012 Olympics vs the United States was one of the greatest sporting performances that I have ever witnessed. It is worth noting that the two penalty goals scored by Jessie Fleming in the semi final and final were both drawn by the great Christine Sinclair. Such is the respect that her opponents accord her that they would not allow her a chance to strike from that range. This gold medal is the crown jewl of an unprecedented career. Sinclair will always be remembered as a legend of the game. In the Gold medal game Sinclair was subbed out in the 86th minute for Jordyn Huitema.
