We placed these caches along the walking/bike trail that follows the Red River. Djpizza had some on the other side of the river and always had trouble with them getting flooded out or muggled so we're giving it another go. Be prepared, you will need insect repellent, long pants, and closed toe shoes. As always in Louisiana, there could be snakes, spiders, ticks and poisonous plants around. Some of these you can drive close to but most you will have to hike or bike to, the bike is the recommended way to get them. Otherwise park at the posted parking coordinates. Do not attempt these caches from the road. These coordinates were set with a Garmin etrex 30 gps so I don't know how close you can get using a smart phone. Be careful while on the trail and do not attempt these at night. Have fun and enjoy 'Rollin' on the Rising Red.' Note there is also a new series on the other side of the river.
