Fencing Cliff's Wood at Horsbere Brook
CITO 2022, Season 1
Attend a CITO from 1st March through to 31st May to grab a season 1 souvenir.
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook (alternative parking).
Where: Meet by the main gate at 0930 (alternative parking coords) or find us in Cliff's Wood (main coords).
What: Join us fencing Cliff's Wood to protect it from grazing cattle in the Autumn. We will be adding wire to the fence posts. Many hands make light work of hammering staples!
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools if necessary. Drop by if you have any time to spare and don't worry about not knowing what to do - none of us do, but the ranger will set us straight!
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
We ask you to bring your own gloves and where appropriate tools, so if you have a hammer then please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the ranger will have a supply.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
