This cache is hidden in Ohlone Regional Wilderness, just before the EBRPD Land Bank (which is off limits). Despite the dead end here, I liked the area and felt it was a nice spot for a geocache. The cache is a pill bottle (thanks Psychoticjesters!), hidden in a hole in the branch of a tree.
It will take a significant hike to get here, around 7 miles one way. Park at Sunol Regional Park (currently $5 to park here) and obtain an Oholone Wilderness Regional Trail Permit. They cost $2.00 and are good for one year. I recommend taking a lot of water. On the day I hid this, temperatures approached 90 degrees. I took over 4 liters (plus a couple of Gatorades), and this was just enough.
