We knew about this little historical plaque, but it's been many years since we stopped and looked at it. We kinda forgot about it, until we rediscovered it one day, as it were, asking ourselves "what is that blue thing out there next to the path?" as we were driving by. "Oh yeah, this is a historical plaque!" It's easy to miss unless you happen to be taking the little path connecting 1st Avenue and Tower Lane Drive or Centre Avenue. Nose Creek meanders just south of the walkway as well. Go for a little stroll, and enjoy a little history.
