This Cache is placed as part of the 2022 New York State Park Central Region Geocache Challenge. There are approximately 70 geocaches hidden within 21 state parks and historic sites in this parks region, the first 100 people to find 45 or more caches will receive a special geocache challenge coin. NYS Parks Saratoga - Capital region and the Taconic region will be hosting a similar challenge!! 10 caches found in the Sara-Cap and/or Taconic region Challenge can be used toward the Central Challenge.

One of three Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park Challenge Caches. This one and “Bob’s Your Uncle” are hidden near White Birch Pond. There is a small parking area quite near the pond. There is an old road that goes behind the pond and up a hill. The trail starts at the south end of the parking lot and is quite obvious. Turn North (left) onto the old road and follow it.
Please take a SWAG item if you wish. There is no need to trade. This item might be useful if someone selfishly swoops in to take a parking place you’ve been patiently waiting for or perhaps another thoughtless jerk cuts you off in traffic quite dangerously. Keep one of these in your pocket and quickly place it on a significant digit if the situation arises. However, if you’re smart, don’t react at all. It’s just a nuisance. Instead, take your SWAG item home and entertain your children or grandchildren. Post a picture of you wearing your SWAG item to your log. (Optional) Have fun!
