Bring a picnic, meet new people and help us celebrate the 4562 trees planted on site by the Friends of Horsbere Brook, community volunteers (including Geocachers) and Gloucester City Council which have been dedicated to the Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC).
The QGC project celebrates Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 by bringing people across the country together to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’ as a legacy for future generations.
A new bench designed and donated by volunteers and new signage explaining the project will also be unveiled.
Meet us in the orchard, bring a rug and a picnic! We look forward to meeting you.
Why not stay on after the picnic to help admire and care for the new trees. We will be onsite checking tree guards, stakes, weeding and mulching the new trees.
