Nuo seno Vilniuje vandens nešiotojo amatas buvo svarbus, nors juo vertėsi neturtingiausi miesto gyventojai. Skulptūros herojus simbolizuoja idealizmą, kurio buvo apstu net ir sunkiausiais laikais.
Romualdas Kvintas (1953–2018)
Skulptorius Romualdas Kvintas žinomas iš tokių darbų kaip Vytauto Kernagio skulptūra Nidoje, skulptūros rašytojui R. Gary, gydytojui C. Šabadui, dainininkui D. Donskiui, kalbininkui J. Jablonskiui atminti. 2015-ųjų rudenį Rusnėje buvo atidengta R. Kvinto skulptūra Hermannui Kalenbachui ir Mahatmai Gandžiui, 2017-ųjų rudenį – bažnyčios reformatoriui Martynui Liuteriui. 2019 m. rudenį, praėjus metams po skulptoriaus mirties, pastatyta skulptūra dainininkui, poetui ir dailininkui Leonardui Koenui atminti.
Romualdo Kvinto skulptūros pasižymi jaukumu, tobula, jautria, charakteringa formos plastika. Herojai vaizduojami paprastais žmonės, jų skulptūros kuriamos natūralaus mastelio. Betarpiškas ryšys tarp skulptūros ir žiūrovo yra ryškiausias Romualdo Kvinto kūrybos bruožas.

Romualdas Kvintas (1953–2018)
The sculptor Romualdas Kvintas is known for such works as the sculpture of Vytautas Kernagis in Nida, the memory of the sculptor R. Gary, the doctor C. Šabadas, the singer D. Donskis, and the linguist J. Jablonskis. In the autumn of 2015, a sculpture by Romualdas Kvintas for Hermann Kalenbach and Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled in Rusnė, and in the autumn of 2017 for the church reformer Martynas Luther. 2019 in the autumn, a year after the sculptor’s death, a sculpture was built in memory of the singer, poet and painter Leonard Koen.
The sculptures of Romualdas Kvintas are characterized by coziness, realism, sensitivity, and characteristic forms. The heroes are depicted as ordinary people, their sculptures are created on a natural scale. The direct connection between the sculpture and the viewer is the most striking feature of Romualdas Kvintas work.
