One interesting feature of this neighbourhood is that it is full of stairways for pedestrians. The underlying steepness of the slopes in the area made it great for building homes with impressive views, but where the terrain got too steep, the roads had to be interrupted and stairways were built for pedestrians instead.
This stairway on West Braemar is pretty long. It is separated into basically three sections, and unlike most others, the builders installed some benches so people can rest on one of the landings. There are other stairways nearby, on West Balmoral, West Rockland, and East Rockland too, so there is plenty of leg exercise available for those who want it. However, geocachers may find that some rest here is helpful.
Bicycles and vehicles can reach the top or bottom of the stairway. Public transit is just 1 block away on Lonsdale.
Bring your own pen or pencil, because none would fit inside it. Use stealth in removing the cache and replacing it. Open and close it with care, and please put it back in the same way it was placed. (And please, no swag inside.)
