This cache has been hidden inside the Baldwin Borough Public Library with the encouragement and assistance of the library Director. To find the exact location of the cache, you will need to search for clues outside the building as well as inside the library.
Step 1
Answers to the following questions need to be obtained outside the building; these can be found any time.
Location 1: How many StoryWalk! stations are there along the sidewalk?
Location 2: How many handicap parking signs are in the vicinity of the library (parking lot and along Wolfe Drive)?
Location 3: On both side of the painted fence, how many elephants are there? How many paintings of the earth?
Location 4: How many slats are there on the sitting section of the wooden bench (not picnic tables)?
The following clues will need to be found inside the library during the following hours.
Monday - Thursday 10 am - 8 pm
Friday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
Summer Saturdays 9 am - 4 pm
How many computer monitor stations are there, not including the two stations on the main desk?
Step 2 [go outside the library]
The numerical sum of these six clues is the key to determining the exact location where the cache may be found. The four possibilities for the cache location are on the back of the book return dropbox outside the library; only one choice is a real section in this library, the other three are ficticious sections.
Step 3
Using the cache location shown on the book return dropbox, go back into the library and find the book!
The guidelines for placing a cache indoors stipulate that "players must be able to find the cache without interacting with staff in the building." There is no need to request assistance from a librarian to find this cache.
Nearby parking is along the road in front of the library; there is limited general parking in the lot at the entrance. This parking lot is primarily designated for handicapped patrons.
Congratulations to Teamadventure4 for being the FTF for this cache.
