These caches are placed along a loop approximately 1.85 miles in length in the North end of the park. You can start at either the Old Stage Road or Carrick Road parking areas, coordinates for both are provided. The loop can be done in either direction and takes you along the Perimeter (yellow) Trail, the Long Path (aqua green), and the Fred Schroeder Memorial (red) Trail.
The trailhead from the Old Stage Parking is evident (opposite the parking entrance) and coordinates are provided for Carrick Road parking area trailheads. See JBT01 for parking and trailhead coordinates.
The terrain is rated 2.5 with the hike slightly less than two miles (3 km) along well defined paths with small elevation changes. These caches are not handicapped accessible and are not recommended for those with mobility issues.
