Tree Treasure Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

BettyBeeDog: This cache has experienced muggle attack! It has had a good game for a couple of years but had become increasingly visible in its location. A cache in this general location is viable and has been joyful, so It will be replaced and possibly moved to a nearby, better hidden place. Hope to do this ASAP and by 06/01/26.

Geocache Description:

(When you find the cache, its twist top to open!)

This cache is in Stambourne Wood. Stambourne Wood was originally part of the ancient Great North Wood that covered the area, later becoming part of the gardens to large Victorian houses as the area was developed. Now Stambourne Woodland Walk is owned by Croydon Council and provides a public walkway between the green spaces of Westow Park and South Norwood Lake. You can enter Stambourne Woods via Church Road or Auckland Road. There is a main path that leads all the way through the wood between these two entrances. If you are walking on the main path through the middle of the woods from Church Road to Auckland Road, then you need to explore the side of the wood to the left of the main path. If you are walking from Auckland Road to Church Road, you will need to explore the paths to your right. Good luck!
