This event is returning to a former popular location at the SpringFord Diner (55 E. Bridge Street, Spring City) with a few changes including the day of the week (SATURDAY) and time of day (NOON). Instead of the traditional Thursday (or other night) the event will be held during the day (Noon to closing at 2:45PM - kitchen closes at 2:30) when the Diner is open (they changed their hours for lack of fiinding workers - seems to be a problem everywhere these days). Instead of Thursday the event is on SATURDAY; which might either interrupt your caching schedule or get you out the door for a couple of finds.
The Diner offers a broad menu range from typical breakfast fare to more inviting dining selections including sandwiches and entrees. You are encouraged to purchase something to nosh on in appreciation for their hosting us.
The event will feature our familiar format including door prize (for 'First To Find'), door prizes/raffle. We may even revive long lost 50/50 drawing to support our door prizes and other offerings - so you might want to bring more that just your outfit and milk money. There is no oblligation to participate but it helps defray costs and makes our prizes unique to our events.
You do not have to be an active geocacher, be a member of Geocaching.com or subscriber to the First To Find magazine! We love seeing old friends, making new ones, entertaining new people and yes, even recruiting willing souls to the hobby!
There will be STRANGE caps and t-shirts for sale. We will have a contest for the best costume (be it geocaching related, your flower costume from your third grade spring parade or something more imaginative - just no weeds please!).
