This cache is a CC Special. It has a water resisistant paper log so if found wet just dry it on something and sign in. There is not a writing utensil in the cache so you will have to bring along your own to sign in. This is Bear and Cougar country so be aware and keep the kids and pets close. The main road is a active mainline for logging trucks and this is there area however it is also the Bamfield road so cars are allowed on it. When we placed these caches there was heavy traffic with logging trucks dump trucks and tourist gettint ready for the long weekend. I suggest you pull over and let vehicles to go by and tavel with your head lights on. We suggest doing these caches on the weekend when there is less traffic.
We saw that the VLH caches have all been archived and so we thought we would place caches back out in homage to the VLH Team. We all thought that the VLH Team did a fantastic job with their caches and we hope to do the same. The caches we are placing, starting from Port Alberni, are all on the right hand side of the road at very good pullouts or on side roads that spur off of the Mainline. This is a loop trip and you will see caches on the left side of the road and they should be done on the way back to Port Alberni, this will be safer for all cachers not having to cross over to the wrong side of the road.
