Geocache Description:

This geocache brings you to the world renowned outdoor destination named Jimmy Smith Park. In this rustic, sprawling oasis, you'll find 3 benches, 3 rocks, and a sign about something completely unrelated to Jimmy Smith Park. Definitely bring a lunch and your day pack, you'll never want to leave!

Jimmy Smith was a mathematics professor from 1968 to 2000. During that time, he was a town councilman, chair of the Mathematical Science Department, and president of the faculty senate. He taught classes in Walker hall, located right across the street. The Town of Boone sewage treatment plant was named after him at one point. I've heard that he had an amazing sense of humor and would have loved the irony of having a sewage plant and a ridiculously tiny park named after him.

If you're a diehard App State fan, you've absolutely heard the song "Jimmy Smith Park" by Schmoyoho. If you haven't heard it, it's highly recommended that you watch the video before attempting this geocache. One of the creators of Schmoyoho, Michael Gregory, graduated from App State in 2007. You probably have seen his video series "Songify This."

The difficulty of this geocache comes from how exposed it is on almost all sides. You'll need to come up with idea of where it could be and very quickly check as to not look too suspicious. Good luck!
