I am a young geocacher and this is my first set of caches. I have decided to combine my interest in geocaching with my interest in railways. This is a set of 5 caches (4 plus a bonus) placed along the disused railway line between the old Monmouth Troy station and a well-known budget supermarket! Don’t forget to collect the bonus numbers from the top of the log in each cache.
The caches can be started from either end and parking is available at the supermarket or Troy Gardens (but please be respectful of the residents). The caches can be combined with Really Sidetracked – Monmouth Troy.
#1 - This structure is clearly not Victorian so we don’t know why it is alongside an old railway line, but it is a convenient place to hide a cache. Beware of nettles and brambles and please re-hide carefully. You will need tweezers.
