This is a picnic social meet on top of the Uffington White Horse hill.
This event is timed to follow on from the earlier "Chalking the horse" CITO to enable the workers to chat afterwards. However, you don't have to attend the earlier CITO in order to attend this social.
Bring your own picnic if you want one. There are no facilities such as water, food or toilets at this location. There is a charge by the NT for car parking (free for National Trust members with their membership card). There is often an ice cream van in the car park when the weather is good. There is a 10-15 minute uphill walk from the car park to the white horse / event coordinates.
If the weather conditions are bad then this event may be cancelled. There is also a possibility of change to the Covid situation. If so, I’ll make an announcement on this page as soon as I get this information. To receive announcements via email, make sure you have logged a “will attend”.
