矢板運動公園は四季を通じて体力の向上とレクリエーションの場として利用できる運動公園で、初夏にはツツジが色鮮やかに咲き、市民公園としても親しまれています。総面積28.3ヘクタール。施設には、陸上競技場・サッカー場・テニスコート・プール・相撲場・多目的グラウンド・野球場などがあります。

2022年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2022年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

The cache is hidden in Yaita Sports Park, which will be used as a venue for football, baseball and orienteering at the 77th National Sports Festival to be held this year (2022).
Yaita Sports Park is an athletic park that can be used for physical fitness and recreation in all four seasons, and is also a civic park where azaleas bloom in colourful profusion in early summer. It covers a total area of 28.3 ha. Facilities include an athletics track, soccer field, tennis courts, swimming pool, sumo wrestling ground, multipurpose ground and baseball field.
