This magnetic nano geocache is located adjacent to one of the public footpaths which forms part of the Filey Flood Alleviation Scheme. The path is suitable for families with pushchairs and gives the opportunity to view some of the wildlife which has been attracted to the series of earth embankments, ditches and temporary flood storage ponds. The area also has views of the Yorkshire Wolds to the south and Bempton cliffs to the east.
Access to the area is best made from Church Cliff Drive along the path which runs between the Brigg Court housing development and the Country Park. Alternatively, walk through Parish Wood off Fir Tree Drive but this route can become very muddy after rain. An additional access point is via the path which leads to the Cleveland Way and can be joined off Scarborough Road adjacent to Filey Fields Court. Again, this can become muddy after rain and has a very uneven surface.
As this is a nano you will need to bring your own pen and may need tweezers (or similar) to extract the log.
