A series of caches placed by a couple of Old Farts that are ideal to be found by Old Farts.
As we have aged, we have suddenly started accumulating a large number of potential cache containers that we need to put to good use. These caches do not require long walks, climbing, hiking, a magnifying glass to find (no nanos) and are a relatively easy find. Perfect for all the Old Fart Cachers out there. So put in your hearing aids, grab your bifocals and go caching. Us Old Farts don’t mind if you youngsters also join in.
The park this cache is in is open for use 1/2 before sunrise to 1/2 after sunset.
We had all the caches we placed in the park come up missing at the same time about a year ago. We decided to replace the caches, prepared the containers, drove to the park, and started replacing the containers, however we only had one replaced when the batteries died on our GPS and we didn’t have any spare ones with us. We had cleaned out the car in preparation for our daughter's use while we were gone. We were leaving for Alaska for 10 months the next day and decided to archive this one and the others we didn’t replace. The one in the park we did replace was still there and being found when we returned from Alaska. So the archived caches are being reborn.
