This series of caches was placed by the Highland Valley Outdoors Association (HVOA) in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the District of Logan Lake. The HVOA was formed in 1976, with the goal of enhancing outdoor recreation opportunities in and around Logan Lake.
Each cache in the series is a plastic ammo box, which are hidden from plain sight.
The HVOA maintains a 36 km network of ski/hiking/mountain biking trails north of Logan Lake, as well as a gun range. Unfortunately, the 2021 Tremont Creek Wildfire destroyed most of the trails and the gun range. This series of caches is placed on trails around the Meadow Creek Golf Course and Mimi Falls. https://highlandvalleyoutdoorassociation.com/about/
Special thanks to the local Girl Guides for decorating and filling the cache containers with all sorts of swag from the District of Logan Lake and Campground.
