Yes, they do! In this Geocache Series, Bigfoot has hidden caches across one of the hottest zones in squatch-history. This easy 1st LPC cache will place you at the edge of The Sam Houston National Forest and Texas' highest concentration of Bigfoot sightings. The Bigfoot lore of this area is actually quite extensive.
Should you decide to embark into hunting this geocache series...you will arrive at notable landmarks and locations of Bigfoot sightings. Continuing to each cache will afford you many opportunities to witness your own sightings of Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Wood Ape, Skunk Ape, Yeti ... or the odd dude in a monkey suit.
By locating this first cache...You will begin the series with an opportunity to grab some travel snacks and fill-up your wheels for the miles of geocache hunting ahead. Suggested Provisions: appropriate liquids for you and unleaded for your go-faster, dots pretzels, dare you some ceviche flavored chips (interesting to say the least), water for the summer's heat, and bananas and jerky to share with Bigfoot as winks from the thicket catch your eye. Careful here...this cache is plagued by muggles...so the coast must be clear as not to disclose it's location to the uneducated.
Each cache in this series holds an episode to the series 'Bigfoot Love!'. A riddle will develop which can be answered correctly for a chance of amazement.
The Lone Star Hiking Trail is a 140 mile long path through The Sam Houston National Forest. Among this route are elusive cyptozoological creatures hiding at the edges of human perception. Walking this trail is venturing through Bigfoot's backyard. Pay attention for glimpses of the cryptid called Bigfoot.
At each cache Stop and Be Still! Relax and Open Your Senses to naturally observe the surrounding environment inwhich you have placed yourself.
Look for eyes peering from behind trees...especially those reflecting light after dark, notice oddly positioned and uprooted trees, spot the traces of bare footprints, see the shadowy figures moving in the distance.
Listen for what rides in the wind. A lack of ambient sounds signals a presence. Listen for trees knocks, squatch vocalizations, whooping, twigs cracking, and leaves rustling from Bootfoot's steps.
Taste not the local fauna or the berries for they may be poisonous or the guarded forage of Bigfoot's harvest.
Smell the forest air and let your nose tell you what the wind carries as it passes. Notice the lingering offensive odors of decay, musk, skunk, or the ripe bouquet of a Bigfoot offering.
Feel the forest's energies and nature's vibrations. Let your skin tell you the degree of tenseness as it buzzes your nerves. Feel your standing hair signaling you of a presence. You are not alone...feel the curious eyes that are watching you.
