Anyone who has ever heard Grga Čvarak's SONG (in Croatian) has hardly forgotten that naughty boy. Many years after his adventures were described to us by the great Croatian children's writer Ratko Zvrko, Tomislav Torjanac - award-winning illustrator of the picture books Cat and Devil, Girl and Giant, and How Antuntun Lives - with his brilliant illustrations he built a time machine that takes us to Grga's home and backyards. when that sympathetic thug was at the same time the most naughty and the best, and when he fired a pebble of remembrance with a slingshot straight into our hearts.
The most famous song with which many generations have grown up is named after the main character whose adventures we read about in the collection, "Grgi Čvarku". In the song, we meet a boy who lives in Zelengaj and does everything upside down. Everyone would say he’s a naughty boy because he shoots cats from a slingshot, jumps over a wall and takes down bird nests, pulls chickens by the tail, and constantly fights and quarrels with other children. But he also has good qualities because he is always ready to help. So he helps his mother when she is sick, brings her aspirin and makes lemonade, and sympathizes with little Mia who fell into a ditch and scratched her knee. Grga Čvarak is a boy with a big and brave heart who, like many other children, is sometimes naughty.
This cache is dedicated to a geocacher who showed me the ways of geocaching and we call the same as the protagonist of the book :) so I had to put stuff he likes :)
