Town: Village of Marstons Mills, Town of Barnstable
Location: Town landing on Middle Pond. Rain or shine.
Event Info: This Event will be held at the Town Landing on Middle Pond. There is parking for approximately 10-15 cars. Come join us for a gathering to talk about caching, share stories, swap TB's and discuss the adventures we have had while enjoying the game.
Post Event: Folloowing the Event, Eagle and I are planning to take an evening Paddle on Middle Pond (cited Event location) and navigate through the narrows into Mystic Lake (Childhood home to wwhale and EagleSR132). We will follow the near-shoreline down and around the Mystic Lake Island and back. The entire distance may be two-and-one-half miles of typically smooth water.
If you are intending on joining the Post Event Paddle, please follow the below guidance.
Safety Notes:
1. Both ponds are restricted to ten-horse-powered boating, so there is little concern for paddle safety with high speed boats or wake problems.
2. All participants should wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) while on the water.
3. Optional Equipment: A small line to secure your boat to the shore if partaking in the "Treasured Island" cache find. A headlamp or flash light in the event darkness is sooner than scheduled. Mosquito head net, (Ya never know), waterproof bag for GPS, Cell phone, Camera.
Participation: Once again, the event will be held at the town landing with no requirement to partake in the post event paddle. It is merely being mentioned for those that partake in that type of hobby.
