The cache is located at an old road bridge over the Jökulsá á Brú river. Other names of the river are Jökulsá á Dal and Jökla. The newer bridge on Iceland's Route 1 (Hringvegur) was built in 1994 and is located some distance upstream. The location offers nice views of the rock cliffs and the riverbed.
