Geocache Description:

I placed this cache container on July 4 with no premeditation. I'd checked on an unrelated cache and had brought along a replacement just in case. But it wasn't needed! Then the spare container, having been denied a stint in the great outdoors, seemed to be imploring me from the passenger seat to place it under a shrub. Or wherever. After taking a leisurely peek at this attractive area and fetching a new GC-code I found myself doing almost exactly that.

I vowed that if the cache was still there when I next visited, I'd make use of it. Five months later that 'use' has ended up being this humble D2.5/T2.5 multi with an inane pun for a title! But enough of my rambling...

How to find the cache

At the starting coordinates I recommend -- in addition to staring, transfixed, at the ocean for a while -- that you find two numerical codes. You'll know them when you see them. They're quite near this thing:

Compass Rose Thingy

You'll want to be carrying a device with a calculator because you need to divide the smaller number by the larger number and examine the first 9 decimal places of the result. Your next destination is

5th decimal place
3rd decimal place
9th decimal place
METRES
from the lookout coordinates.

At that second waypoint you're seeking the following tea-tree which is helping to conceal a set of coordinates -- or at least the minute components of a set of coordinates.

Tree of Interest

At this point I'll also direct your attention to the listed trailhead. I trust that's sufficient information to locate the tea-tree and the numbers pertaining to the next waypoint beyond that.

In turn, the third location is also harbouring two sets of minutes. This time it'll allow you to construct the cache coordinates.

And the cache itself is not enormously far away!

As always, please take care to neatly tuck multi components vaguely out of sight once you're done and go easy on the spoilers in your online log! 😊

Be gentle on the local flora. You needn't depart from established tracks even once for this one, so undue trampling of coastal plant life would be unfortunate. Any apparent need to plow through foliage may be an indication that something has gone awry.
