Deosai National Park - the land of giants. The plateau is located in the elevation from 3500 to 4500, it’s the second highest plateau in the world and considered as the roof of the world. There are plenty of species in the park, various flowers and animals, most interestingly mermaids, which you can see along the road and bears. Usually you cant meet a bear during a day, but rather at night time. Bears can be dangerous, even if locals say that Himalaya bear is smaller and less aggressive than Alaska bear (I wonder how many Alaska bears the locals have seen 😊
The cache is located near the small camp, but not inside. You can easily access it by car from Skardu (shorter way) or from Astore going thru the whole park. You can park your vehicle near by and enjoy the hunt for cache.
After the hunt you can enjoy the local tea with milk, talk to the locals (they are always very pleased), spend there a night. Or just easily leave in one direction to Skardu or Astora.
