This was placed by the Berri Regional Secondary College Flexi Class as part of our Health & Recreation Lessons. We are learning about Geocaching and this is our first ever Hidden Geocache. The name 'Berri' is from the local Aboriginal tribe Meri, meaning 'a wide bend in the river'. Martin Bend is on the middle of the bend. Martin Bend is a great place for fishing, skiing and low cost camping. There is also a great walking track surround by scrub. Although it is actually called Martin Bend, it is referred to by many locals as Martin's Bend. There is a riddle in this Geocache, but you don't need to answer it.
