This is just past the trailhead for Johnson Trail in the Salt Lick Point Land and Water Preserve near Valmeyer, Illinois. This is a beautiful trail and this is quite near a reminder message of that from the trail operator. I went into the preserve to find GC9WMND - This Cache Rocks! It was a nice trail and I thought it could use a few more GCs along the trail. The Rocks cache is just past the .6 mile marker, visible on your right as you head in.
You are looking for a small Bison tube in an obvious location. Enjoy the trail. As I was walking out from GC9WMND I met a local lady who was hiking the trail. She said the trail does go up and over the top of the bluff. I have yet to do the whole trail. Go check it out.
