Geocache Description:

This is in Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve.  I came out here to find GC9WMND - This Cache Rocks!  It took me two visits to find that one.  I could not find it the first day.  On the second morning, armed with some tips from a Phone-A-Friend (PAF) from the guy who made the FTF, I made the find.  On the way in I saw two interesting places including this one for another GC along the trail.

What to call it...I have been listening to an audio book called JET GIRL: My Life in War, Peace, and the Cockpit of the Navy's Most Lethal Aircraft, the F/A-18 Super Hornet.  It is the military autobiography of Caroline Johnson.  She is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and was a WSO (pronounced Whiz-o) in an F/A-18F.  The WSO is the Weapons Systems Operator.  It is a very good account of her military story.  Anyway during her career she went through a few NAVAL AVIATOR call signs.  One of the ones she had was "Gotno" Johnson, because she is a female.  It is both kind of funny and also a slight.  She turned it into a good thing.  I was walking the Johnson Trail in when I heard this part of her story.  I decided I had to place a cache to honor her service in our strange outdoor hobby.

You are looking for a big rock along the trail.  There are several.  I looked all around this rock for the right place to place it and found that there is only one.  You can find it without leaving the trail.  If you have read this much of my description this far, this paragraph is all you will need.  You are looking for a lime green-capped preform bottle blank.  Please put the cache back as you have found it.  Unconcealed the cap color is unavoidable to miss.  Please consider reading the book or listening to the audiobook.

Accessibility:  The trail is quite flat along the base of the bluff and has no ups and downs out to this cache  the cache is just about 4 feet above trail level and both my feet were on the trail when I concealed it.

One interesting thing I found is when you pass the openings in the "mine" up on the wall, the cool breeze from thos holes feels amazing on a hot morning.  Enjoy it when you feel it.  At the GC, turn around and look up on the bluff, you will see one of the openings.  I saw at least 4 such openings as I drove South on Bluff Road.
