Baylor is our trusty Geo-Puppy. He loves, loves, loves Pizzuro Park. He gets to run and play with other puppies, and that's just about his favorite thing to do. But Baylor is not the first to think of this area as a wonderland.
Cache Details
There's parking beside the dog areas, and next to the basketball court. Or you can follow the road all the way to the end and pull up beside the cache. There's room to turn around.
You're looking for a small, metal tin. There's no need to walk into the foliage, but you will have to lean in to make the find.
Many thanks to Rigby (of RigbyandLily) for inspiring the research for the following story.
Congratulations to dprice95 and app18 for the First To Find.
A Lost Neighborhood
Wonderland was a community of Summer homes created about 100 years ago (starting in 1927). Some say it was a very liberal enclave of tolerance and alternative lifestyles where people could let their hair down and really be themselves. Others say it was simply a weekend getaway for some of Columbus’ upper-class residents. I say, Why not both?
In time, many of the Wonderland houses became year-round homes. Wonderland children attended Gahanna schools and, according to the stories I’ve heard, the area became a secluded, family-focused idyll.

In the early 1970’s, some of Wonderland was re-zoned to make way for the new I-270 highway. The houses were moved to Agler Rd.
In the early 1980’s, the rest of Wonderland was sacrificed to airport expansion. The North Runway was being extended and Wonderland was too close to the approach. Residents resisted, but the City of Columbus invoked ‘eminent domain’ and the land was purchased. Only the community church remains.
This Franklin County Auditor map shows the land parcels (marked with a D) that were acquired for the I-270 exits. The land parcels without a D were acquired later for the airport expansion.
