It's a Good Day Series
I became a campground host for the General C.C. Andrews State Forest Willow River Campground after being limited on my ability to travel and do the summer caching the way I use to do because of a head injury. I am taking advantage of every good day I have to do something I want to do so when it is a good day the Geo-pup and I hit the trail and place a cache or two. We hope to continue to expand with a goal of filling from Rutledge to Moose Lake.
Most of the caches are just off the paved trail with some a little farther off they are winter friendly unless the attribute says otherwise. The containers are all starting out the same with a few exceptions where there was an optortunity for some creativity. They are starting out with Write in rain paper.
I know most people do not read the page unless they need more info but I hope you read why I am placing this series.
Why this series is called: It's a Good Day
I have a disabiliy. It's not one you can see and it affects my ability to cache the way I use to and the way I want to. Feburuary 2020 I got a concussion that I didn't even think was that bad, I though I would be going back to work the next day. A lot has happened in that two and a half years living wih a mild TBI and types of brain issues some doctors had not heard of before they had me. The thing I miss the most is being able to go caching every day. Hitting power trails with friends. Summer trips to where ever I want to go caching.
What can I do? Well, on a good day...... I can is still go caching with safety buddies and I have many of those. I can go hiking. I found an adaptive bike group (too bad I can't afford the bike) that I can ride with using their bike, I can still be out in the woods looking for the caches even when the coords are way off. I can hide a cache or two.
