This cache is one of a series of 27 caches, one for each of the letters of the alphabet plus a bonus cache. Placed across the county by a team of 'Nottingham Geocachers'. The Caches vary in type, size and difficulty. Each one has a different initial letter and a link to the county of Nottinghamshire.
On 10th April 1829, William Booth was born in Nottingham. He would grow up to be an English Methodist preacher and go on to establish a group to help the poor which still survives today, the Salvation Army. He was born in a house on Notintone Street, Sneinton, the second of five children to Samuel Booth and his wife Mary. There is a museum at his birthplace but it is currently closed.
Where the cache is placed is where one of the COs (Julia) as a very young child of about 4 followed the salvation band hypnotised by their music. She did get in trouble by her parents for wondering off. Totally understandable as they lived about half a mile away in the old St Ann's.
