The drinker of Paravola, the oldest in Nicosia (it should be nearly three centuries old) on the SS 117 leading to Mistretta, was one of the most important meeting and transit points for our community.
Farmers, breeders, armies, occasional patrons ... here they stopped to cool off or drew drinking water for their homes.
However, it had a fundamental function for watering the animals in the area.

Il bevaio di Paravola, il più antico di Nicosia ( dovrebbe avere quasi tre secoli) sulla ss 117 che porta a Mistretta, era un punto d’incontro e di transito tra i più importanti per la nostra comunità.
Contadini, allevatori, bracciati, avventori occasionali… qui si fermavano a rinfrescarsi o attingevano acqua potabile per le proprie case.
Aveva comunque una funzione fondamentale per l’abbeveraggio degli animali della zona.
