The Vikos Gorge
Certainly, the heart of the Vikos Aoos Geopark. This gorge, which has even made it into the Guinness Book of Records with its impressive size, leaves every tourist speechless. Here you will understand where the word “GORGEous” has its roots. No matter where you find yourself, it looks almost supernaturally impressive from every place and perspective.
Therefore, it is advised to take the time once and cross it completely. Only on this way will you have a chance to see the Vikos Gorge in all its beauty. Of course, it takes some time and costs a lot of energy and sweat, but it is worth it. Every time you think you have reached the most impressive view, you get to an even more beautiful look behind the next bend.

Το φαράγγι του Βίκου
Σίγουρα, η καρδιά του Γεωπάρκου Βίκου Αώου. Αυτό το φαράγγι, το οποίο έχει μπει ακόμη και στο βιβλίο των ρεκόρ Γκίνες με το εντυπωσιακό του μέγεθος, αφήνει κάθε τουρίστα άφωνο. Εδώ θα καταλάβετε από πού έχει τις ρίζες της η λέξη "GORGEous". Όπου κι αν βρεθείτε, φαίνεται σχεδόν υπερφυσικά εντυπωσιακό από κάθε σημείο και προοπτική.
Ως εκ τούτου, συνιστάται να αφιερώσετε μια φορά το χρόνο σας και να τη διασχίσετε ολοκληρωτικά. Μόνο με αυτόν τον τρόπο θα έχετε την ευκαιρία να δείτε το φαράγγι του Βίκου σε όλη του την ομορφιά. Φυσικά, χρειάζεται αρκετός χρόνος και κοστίζει πολλή ενέργεια και ιδρώτα, αλλά αξίζει τον κόπο. Κάθε φορά που νομίζετε ότι έχετε φτάσει στην πιο εντυπωσιακή θέα, φτάνετε σε μια ακόμα πιο όμορφη ματιά πίσω από την επόμενη στροφή.

Αυτός ο λογαριασμός geocache είναι ένα μικρό "project" από τους εθελοντές που εργάζονται για το Γεωπάρκο Βίκου-Αώου. Είμαστε Γερμανοί εθελοντές που ήρθαμε μέσω του προγράμματος "Kulturweit", το οποίο αποτελεί μέρος της Γερμανικής Επιτροπής UNESCO στην Ελλάδα. Ελπίζουμε αυτό το "έργο" να μας βοηθήσει να εξερευνήσουμε μαζί σας την περιοχή :)

Die Vikos-Schlucht
Sie ist zweifellos das Herzstück des Geoparks Vikos Aoos. Diese Schlucht, die es mit ihrer beeindruckenden Größe sogar in das Guinness-Buch der Rekorde geschafft hat, lässt jeden Touristen sprachlos zurück. Hier werden Sie verstehen, woher das Wort "GORGEous" kommt. Egal, wo man sich befindet, von jedem Ort und aus jeder Perspektive sieht es fast übernatürlich beeindruckend aus.
Deshalb ist es ratsam, sich einmal die Zeit zu nehmen und sie komplett zu durchqueren. Nur so haben Sie die Möglichkeit, die Vikos-Schlucht in ihrer ganzen Schönheit zu sehen. Natürlich kostet das einige Zeit, viel Kraft und Schweiß, aber es lohnt sich. Jedes Mal, wenn Sie denken, dass Sie die beeindruckendste Aussicht erreicht haben, bietet sich Ihnen hinter der nächsten Kurve ein noch schönerer Anblick.
