The Oregon coast is full of jems, and this boardwalk, in my opinion, is one of them. In the 40s, they made a big ditch and drained all of the water out of the wetlands. The boardwalk was constructed in 2003, and in 2006, they restored the wetlands and created aditional boardwalks. Over the years, Native wetlands species have settled inside the site.
